helpful notes on caring for your Ring.
Storing your sterling silver Ring in the open air and humidity for extended
periods of time can cause it to tarnish quickly. Tarnish first appears as a
golden hue on your ring then quickly turns to black. This is a normal
process that is caused by oxidization and moisture from air and believe it
or not sunshine. Don't store your Ring with loose change or other metal
items that may scratch or further increase tarnish.
Use the Polishing Cloth shipped with the Skull ring to Clean it. Remember
silver is a very soft metal and you can scratch it if you aren't careful so
don't rub it too harshly. Store your Ring in an airtight zip lock bag when you
are not wearing it, save the one it came in, it works perfectly. This will help
prevent some tarnishing. Remember sterling silver is meant to be worn
and your body oils also help prevent tarnishing.
Do not use liquid jewelry cleaner on your Ring. Note: Liquid silver
cleaner will remove the black coloring from the Eye Sockets and
other detailed areas of your Skull Ring.
You can SAFELY use a nonabrasive brand name PASTE Silver
polish like "Hagerty" brand, to remove excessive tarnish. A silver
cloth is the best way to remove tarnish from jewelry. Be sure the item
to be cleaned is free from dust and other abrasives.
